A New Chapter at Riverstone
Residents at Riverstone at Westpointe in Northwest San Antonio are officially enjoying a new chapter of community life as KW, in collaboration with DR Horton, proudly unveils the community’s most expansive Texas amenity center to date.
This amenity center stands as the largest DR Horton has developed for any of their Texas properties, and KW was honored to help bring this bold vision to life. Together, we ensured that every element supports our shared commitment to creating vibrant, thriving spaces where communities can come together and enjoy meaningful connections.
Setting the Tone with a Grand Entrance
Our design journey at Riverstone began with the creation of striking entry monuments, setting the tone for a unique and welcoming community experience from the moment residents and visitors arrive.
KW led the effort in designing the expansive entrance monument using natural stone and steel roof materials to craft a warm, inviting welcome that reflects the character of the neighborhood. A flowing waterfall and a rich, layered plant palette contribute to an alluring atmosphere, creating a sense of arrival that feels both grand and grounded.
Designed for Connection and Community
This new phase marks a significant milestone for Riverstone at Westpointe, bringing to life a thoughtfully designed space where residents can gather, relax, and connect with neighbors while embracing an active, unique outdoor experience and lifestyle.
At the heart of the amenity center is a spacious event lawn, draped with festoon lights and surrounded by comfortable seating areas that invite residents to linger and enjoy the atmosphere. This flexible space is designed to accommodate a wide range of activities, from outdoor movie nights and community festivals to casual family picnics, ensuring there is always something happening that brings neighbors together.
Spaces for Play and Activity
Families are finding joy in the new children’s playground, complete with an adjacent party pavilion that makes birthdays and celebrations effortless. For those seeking an active lifestyle, the full-sized basketball court and multiple pickleball courts offer opportunities to play, exercise, and build camaraderie within the community. A shaded side lawn provides an additional flexible space for picnics, lawn games, or quiet moments under the Texas sky.
A Resort-Style Retreat Close to Home
For residents in search of relaxation, the amenity center offers a resort-style retreat without leaving the neighborhood. The adult lap pool area, equipped with sun shelves and private cabanas, creates a tranquil space for swimming or lounging on warm days. Meanwhile, the zero-entry lazy river, interactive splash pad, and thrilling water slide bring a sense of adventure and fun for residents of all ages, providing the perfect way to cool off and enjoy the outdoors with family and friends.
