Higher Education SFA Cole STEM Building

Project Description

An outdoor science-themed plaza adorned with captivating landscape design

The Stephen F. Austin University STEM Building envisions a vibrant and educational outdoor environment that seamlessly integrates with the academic and scientific pursuits of the campus. The focal point of this project is the creation of an outdoor science-themed plaza adorned with captivating 3D metal art sculptures, providing students and visitors with a unique and visually stimulating experience.

In addition to the artistic elements, the plaza will feature seat walls and charging stations, offering a space for relaxation and modern amenities. An outdoor classroom with seat walls promotes outdoor learning opportunities, while pedestrian walkways and educational pavements, adorned with typography designed science facts, facilitate movement and inspire curiosity. SFA graphic banners along the pedestrian walkways proudly represent the university, and a commitment to tree preservation underscores the project’s dedication to sustainability and greenery within the campus landscape.
