Public Work Lower Kirby Pearland EDC Trails

Project Description

Pedestrian Trails in Pearland, TX

Working on behalf of Lower Kirby Pearland Economic Development Corporation, KW created a parks and trails plan to establish pedestrian links between previously unconnected developments. After meeting with district stakeholders to establish goals, a vision and budget for the project we began the site survey process to understand any constraints or opportunities that would influence design. We created a schematic plan which was adopted by the District and the final project was completed in 2022.

The project scope included pedestrian trail design, irrigation and lighting design, small intimate gardens, educational signage and experiences, relaxation areas along the trail, butterfly walk with native planting, overlooks with ponds, and a pedestrian bridge connecting the community to a parking area.
