In early 2023, marketing team leader Chris Martinez began a strategic transformation of KW Landscape Architects’ marketing capabilities. Our firm recruited Edward Garza, Jr., a digital media manager—responsible for all photography and videography—and Ashley Guerra, a dedicated writer, which complemented Casey Johnson, our talented in-house graphic designer.
Over the past two years, their efforts have redefined how KW communicates, connects, and competes. Our team has:
- Redesigned and launched a new website that reflects the firm’s evolving identity, serves as a platform for attracting clients, recruiting exceptional landscape architects, and unifies KW’s digital presence.
- Introduced TOPO, a bi-annual internal newsletter that showcases projects, celebrates staff, and strengthens firmwide engagement demonstrating our belief that a strong brand begins with a strong team.
- Developed the KW Dashboard, an interactive microsite powered by Tiled that replaces traditional slide decks for business development. Since its launch in late 2024, it has become the firm’s standard presentation tool, driving new business—including three private multi-family developments in Houston—and earning client praise for its originality.
- Launched a billable branding service, led by Casey Johnson, providing clients with complete identity packages that include logos, typography, palettes, and branding guides. In just six months, this service has elevated more than five communities and reframed marketing as a strategic, value-added service.
- Earned recognition at both local and national levels with award-winning marketing materials, reinforcing KW’s reputation for impactful design storytelling that supports our landscape architecture.
Through these achievements, our marketing team has expanded KW’s portfolio, elevated KW’s brand, and built a marketing culture central to our firm’s success. More than that, they have reshaped the way KW tells its story while redefining the role of marketing in the A/E/C industry.
