Transforming For The Better
Founded in 1991 by Founding Partner, Darin Weinheimer, KW has grown exponentially over the last three decades and has expanded from Houston to San Antonio and Austin. The recent transformation of KW’s leadership started in 2022 with the addition of Wesley Salazar as Darin’s business partner. This path of change and growth of the firm continued with the support of the newly appointed Leadership Team in 2023, experts in each department of our company.

The KW Caricature
Caricatures highlight your most prominent features the same way a landscape architect works to design an outdoor space. Each line a landscape architect draws is unique and flows with the land’s topography to create a final design plan, just as the lines of a caricature drawing flow together to illustrate the person’s uniqueness.
KW prides itself on creating a culture of imagination and ingenuity. The caricature drawings celebrate growth and welcomes each of our new employees into the KW culture.
San Antonio Office
Our History
In 2006, after a decade of building our portfolio, KW extended our expertise to our second office location in San Antonio, the 7th largest city in the USA. Right off Broadway St., amidst local businesses like Press Coffee and The Hayden restaurant, our office serves as a dynamic hub for community engagement. Here, we don’t just design landscapes; we cultivate spaces where people come together, fostering a sense of belonging.
Driven by a commitment to diversify our portfolio, we embrace the eclectic nature of landscape architecture, engaging in projects that range from public works with the city to enhancing educational campuses.
In a testament to our growth and commitment to excellence, our expanded office now hosts a talented ensemble of project coordinators, managers, executives, construction administration and irrigation specialists, and marketing professionals. This dynamic team enables seamless collaboration across all sectors as we collectively expand horizons, transform landscapes, and contribute to San Antonio’s urban evolution.
