The Galveston Convention Center is part of the St. Louis Resort. Kudela& Weinheimer was responsible for all of the landscape and hardscape development from the skin of the building outwards. The landscaping included tropical palm trees as well as lush plantings. Some of the hardscape included the porte-cochere, ADA compliance ramps and so on. The St. Louis Hotel Resort included a pool deck with spa area. The 130,000-sf convention center includes a 43,200-sf exhibition space, a 15,000-sf ballroom, 20,000 sf of meeting rooms, a large banquet kitchen, a 30,000-sf prefunction and concession area, and 10,000 sf of storage. A 600-car parking facility will provide direct access to the prefunction space.
