The Texas Heritage Park is a sculpture garden and park created to inform and teach residents about Texas Heritage. Designed with a Texana touch you can stroll through the park and learn a little Texas history along the way. Texas Heritage Park was created and donated to the district by Metro National operated by the Memorial City Management District. Eric Ober is a Houston based artist, a Texas History Buff, Ober developed the idea of using 3-D sculptures and silhouettes of Texas State symbols to give Texas Heritage Park a southwest flavor. The sculptures are cut out of solid steel plates to provide depth and character. The Texas Heritage Park makes use of the Memorial City Mall and Bally's parking lot.
