The BJ Services Corporate Headquarters sits on 11 acres of wooded land in west Houston. As both site planner and landscape designer for the project, Kudela & Weinheimer preserved the heavily wooded site and introduced a walking trail that winds throughout the campus. In keeping with Kirksey’s refreshing contemporary architecture, plantings are crisp and geometric near the structure, softening to more natural forms in the woods. Likewise, tree wells and concrete pavers in the auto court unite natural and manmade elements at the building’s entrance.
