A multi-family project that is located at the corner of Wurzbach Road and Roxbury Road on the northwest side of San Antonio. The existing site had a ten foot topography drop through the center of the project, which created a unique challenge for tree preservation and ADA accessibility. We made tree preservation a priority by carving out the site design to preserve a grove of several Live Oak trees, ranging in size from 12” to 31” diameter at breast height. We were also able to allow accessibility to and from both sides of the site by designing a naturally curved walk that connected the upper and lower halves of the project in an aesthetically pleasing way. This project also incorporated a picnic area with BBQ grills and a pool with a beach entry design.
